We at Organic Me Honey Bees - Natural Skincare are working to make our site organicme-skincare.ca accessible to people with disabilities.

Organic Me Honey Bees is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all individuals, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the needs of our customers in a timely manner and in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and volunteers who interact with customers or the public on behalf of Organic Me Honey Bees - Skincare.

  • Farmers’ markets and pop-up events

Accessible Customer Service

We are committed to:

  • Communicating in ways that consider individual accessibility needs

  • Providing clear product information and ingredient details upon request

  • Offering flexible communication methods (email, messaging, verbal explanation at markets)

Farmers’ Markets & Pop-Up Events

While we operate within shared public spaces not controlled by Organic Me Honey Bees - Skincare, we will:

  • Make reasonable efforts to ensure our booth setup is approachable and navigable

  • Provide verbal descriptions of products for customers who may have visual impairments

  • Assist customers with handling products when requested

  • Be patient and responsive to different communication needs

If a customer requires specific accommodation at an event, we encourage advance contact where possible.

Online Accessibility

We aim to make our website accessible by:

  • Using clear, simple language in product descriptions

  • Providing ingredient lists for all products

  • Responding to requests for alternative formats (e.g., email explanations, larger text)

Service Animals and Support Persons

  • Verbal explanations at markets

  • Providing additional time for interactions when needed

As a small business, Organic Me Honey Bees - Skincare ensures that anyone representing the business is familiar with:

As our products are made in a private residence, our home is not open to the public. Customer interactions take place exclusively online or at public market locations.

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2] guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of [A / AA / AAA]  This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. 

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site 

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible
